The Failure Fest Template - Sharing knowledge at scale
  • The Failure Fest Template - Sharing knowledge at scale

    £0.00Price

    What's the story of your teams last iteration?

    I'm a huge believer in destigmatising failure. When people feel safe to fail, psychological safety builds. We can change how failure is perceived by reframing failure as a learning opportunity. This template can be used to help teams or organisations celebrate failure, but importantly, learn from them at scale.

    Retro number #91 in my collection is the Failure Fest.

    You can use this template in a range of scenarios including;

    - Town Hall meetings

    - Retrospectives

    - Quarterly inspect & Adapt workshops

    - At communities of practice

    Access the Miro template below, plug & play into your own instances and let me know how you get on!

    How to use this template?

    The template has built in guidance on how to use it, in summary;

    Set the context -

    Invoke Chatham house rules (Vegas rules) to set the scene for psychological safety from the start.

    Break the ice;

    Invite participants to share what failure means to them and in doing so, build a collective understand as to what failure is.

    Share failures -

    Use the sharing format to share your own failures. Celebrate those sharing with the emojis and stickers available 🔥🙌🎉

    Ideate -

    Encourage diversity of thought by inviting others to share how they'd have handled such a situation. There are often many ways of solving a problem and each person will bring their own perspectives and experiences.

    Build the wall of learning -

    Add learnings to the wall of learning to enable others to benefit from the lessons we learn from our failures. This can be a great source of information for other teams, or newcomers when being onboarded.

    Vote for the best failure - Dot vote to award the epic failure trophy to the person who shared the best failure. Celebrate failure right till the end.
