Retro theme number twelve for 2021. I'm feeling like a Virtual Pirate today. Having recently read the book 'Be More Pirate', I have been inspired to be more rebellious in the cause of continuous improvement.

- There's a built in icebreaker which will get people sharing their favourite Pirate joke. Don't know one? You'll soon learn some. Mine?
- Explore as a team where you could improve through asking yourselves questions relating to the Pirates of the Caribbean universe. Identify where you need to be 'Disinclined to acquiesce to someones request', where the rules you follow should be more 'guidelines' than actual rules, and where the team 'Has been heard of' despite a few challenges.
- I've also created a new 'Rate your retro' approach for you to trial. Invite your team to rate their own retro using a fist of five (Pieces of eight). This approach is designed to guide teams towards the criteria for an outstanding retrospective. Retros themselves shouldn't be omitted from continuous improvement!
- Work doesn't need to be boring!
